An all-inclusive holiday spent lounging around swimming pools is definitely not the sort of trip I'd normally even think about booking. I'm much more at home exploring cities, wandering around unfamiliar streets and trying to squeeze as much sightseeing as possible into a few days.
But considering the kids have to put up with coming city-hopping with me, I thought it was only fair that we tried something a little different for them. 😂
So instead of planning walking routes, attractions and places to visit, I booked us three nights at O7 BE KLUB in Alcúdia, Mallorca, formerly known as BelleVue Club.
The whole package cost £634.04 for the three of us through easyJet holidays, including return flights from Liverpool, airport transfers, 23kg of hold luggage each, three nights' accommodation and all-inclusive food and drinks.
I'd booked it in August, around two months before travelling, and another thing I liked was being able to pay a deposit and spread the remaining cost before departure.
For once, there was no packed sightseeing itinerary. The plan was simple: let the kids enjoy themselves, spend some time around the pools and hopefully get a bit of October sunshine.
As it turned out, the kids absolutely loved it. The sunshine, on the other hand, was a little less reliable! 😂
Getting to the Hotel
Our flight took us from Liverpool to Palma de Mallorca, where we had a shared airport transfer included in the package.
We got onto the transfer coach at around 10am, although it didn't actually leave the airport until about 11am. We eventually arrived at the hotel at approximately 12:45pm.
It wasn't the quickest transfer in the world, but at least it was all included in the price.
My first impression of the resort was that it looked alright. It certainly wasn't anything spectacular from the outside, but it didn't look terrible either.
O7 BE KLUB is absolutely massive, with accommodation blocks, swimming pools and facilities spread across a large complex. I quickly realised we'd be doing a fair bit of walking just to get around the place.
Not that I minded. I do like getting my steps in! 😂
Checking In and Finding Our Apartment
Check-in was straightforward, and we were lucky enough to be told our room was already available. Some other guests were being asked to return at 3pm, so being able to get straight into ours was a nice surprise.
Finding it, however, was another matter.
We headed to the building we'd been directed to, only to discover that our key wouldn't work. After a bit of confusion, it turned out we'd been given the wrong building number at reception.
Fortunately, a member of staff came to help us, walked us over to the correct building and even helped my daughter carry her bag.
It was a small mistake, but the way the staff dealt with it made a good impression.
One facility worth mentioning is that the reception area also has a toilet and shower room available for guests who have already checked out or whose rooms aren't ready yet.
That's a really useful touch, particularly if you've arrived early or have a late flight home and want to freshen up before travelling.
Our Deluxe Double Room with Balcony
I'd booked a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony, but what we actually got felt much more like an apartment.
There was a kitchen area, a living room, a separate bedroom with a double bed, a fold-out double sofa in the living area and a single bed in another open-plan section.
There was also a large balcony with a table and chairs, overlooking a park and one of the swimming pools.
The apartment was spotless when we arrived, and I was genuinely impressed with the amount of space we had.
Naturally, the kids claimed the double bed, leaving me with the single. Apparently, being the person who booked and paid for the holiday doesn't come with any sleeping arrangement privileges! 😂
There were a couple of little mysteries with the room.
Firstly, I couldn't find the television remote. When I asked at reception, I was told there was a €19 refundable deposit for one. It wasn't an additional charge, but it was an arrangement I hadn't expected.
Then there was the kettle.
I searched the kitchen and couldn't find one anywhere. Reception told me kettles were available free of charge on request, which was useful to know.
Except, on our last day, I eventually discovered there'd been a kettle in the apartment the entire time.
It was hidden in a compartment above the microwave that didn't even look like a cupboard! 🤣
Three days in the apartment, and I'd somehow managed to miss it completely.
Honestly, sometimes I don't know how I'm allowed to go abroad unsupervised.
Room tip: Before asking reception for a kettle, have a proper look above the microwave. You might save yourself a slightly embarrassing conversation! 😂
Eleven Swimming Pools
The hotel advertises eleven swimming pools across the resort.
I can't tell you what all eleven are like, because the kids found two they loved and apparently decided there was absolutely no reason to investigate the others.
One of the pool areas had a regular swimming pool alongside a smaller baby pool with a little slide.
The other had another swimming pool and a children's water-play area with slides, fountains and a jungle-gym-style structure. There was also a large tipping bucket that periodically emptied water over anyone unfortunate enough to be standing underneath it.
The kids absolutely loved it.
The water was freezing, especially with us visiting in October, but that didn't seem to bother them in the slightest.
My daughter in particular has absolutely no chill when it comes to swimming pools. Once she'd seen them, she wanted to get straight in, and preferably never get out again! 😂
Snacks by the Pool
Between the pool areas was a snack bar serving things like burgers, hotdogs, chips, ice cream and slushes, along with hot drinks.
This turned out to be one of the most useful facilities at the hotel.
My little girl is quite a fussy eater, and although the main restaurant had plenty of food, she wasn't particularly interested in most of it.
The snack bar, on the other hand, was a completely different story.
Being able to grab her something to eat without leaving the pool area was brilliant. And with ice cream included in the all-inclusive package, the kids were certainly getting their money's worth! 😂
Watch Your Footing
One thing I would definitely warn visitors about is how slippery some of the tiled areas around the pools become when wet.
The pool outside our apartment block was particularly bad, and the area outside the snack bar was just as slippery.
You really had to watch your footing because it would've been very easy to go ass over tit! 😂
The pool area with the children's jungle gym wasn't quite as bad, but I'd still recommend being careful.
It's something I'd particularly highlight for families with young children and anyone with mobility difficulties.
The pools themselves were a massive hit with the kids, but the slippery flooring is definitely something I'd like to see the hotel improve.
Food and the Search for a Brew
I was pleasantly surprised by the food.
Breakfast was particularly good, with loads of choice, including a full English and plenty of other options.
Lunch and evening meals were good too, and I certainly didn't struggle to find something I wanted to eat.

The main problem was how busy the restaurant could get.
On one occasion, we had to wait for a table, and during an evening meal the staff were struggling to clear and reset tables quickly enough for the number of people coming in.
It wasn't that the staff weren't working hard. There just didn't seem to be enough of them at the busiest times.
One thing I found a bit strange was the drinks selection during the evening buffet.
There was fruit juice, water, beer and wine, but no tea or coffee available in the restaurant at that time.
I'm not much of a drinker, so I'd much rather have a brew with or after my meal.
Hot drinks were available at the poolside bars while they were open, but it took me until our final evening to discover a small bar tucked away in the far corner of the entertainment area that also served them.
Honestly, finding that bar felt like winning the lottery! ☕😂
Evening Entertainment
The evening entertainment was another big hit with the kids.
There was a mini disco that lasted around an hour, and they had an absolute ball dancing around.
On one evening, this was followed by the hotel's own version of Grease, which was a nice bit of entertainment.

There was one frustrating part, though.
The all-inclusive bar in the entertainment area only had two people serving, and I ended up queuing for 40 minutes just to get a drink.
Again, I wouldn't blame the individual staff members. They were dealing with a lot of people, and the bar simply seemed understaffed for the number of guests.
Thankfully, the weather stayed dry on our final evening, so the mini disco went ahead again.
The kids spent another hour happily dancing around, while I celebrated finally discovering somewhere to get a hot drink.
Everyone was happy! 😂
Rainbathing in Mallorca
Now, when you book a holiday to Mallorca, even in October, you do hope for at least a bit of sunshine.
Unfortunately, it rained every single day of our holiday.
We did get some lovely warm and sunny spells in between, but the weather was incredibly unpredictable. One minute it was cloudy, the next it was pouring down, and we even had a thunderstorm.
At one point, after the kids had insisted on yet another trip to the pool, I found myself lying on a sun lounger in my swimming shorts and waterproof jacket, hood pulled up against the rain.
I'm pretty sure a few people walking past were wondering what on earth I was doing.
But the kids were happy in the pool, so there I stayed, enjoying a spot of rainbathing in Mallorca! 😂

And the weather wasn't finished messing us about.
On another occasion, we decided to have a wander around the nearby shops.
It was raining, so we headed out wearing coats and carrying umbrellas.
Naturally, about five minutes later, the rain stopped, the sun came out and we were absolutely roasting in the clothes we'd needed just moments earlier.
After our short shopping trip, the kids announced that it was time to go back to the swimming pool.
Of course it was. 😂
Our Attempt to Explore Alcúdia
Although this holiday was mainly about the kids enjoying the resort, I couldn't quite switch off my usual urge to explore.
I really wanted to visit Alcúdia Old Town, so after a morning swimming session, I suggested we head out for a look around.
Reception told us we could get there by taxi or local bus, and I decided we'd use the bus.
Unfortunately, the nearest bus stop was temporarily out of use because of roadworks.
A helpful shop owner directed us towards another stop, so we were ready to give that a try.
Then, just as we headed outside, the weather took a turn for the worse.
We were caught in a thunderstorm, complete with heavy rain and lightning, which lasted around an hour.
We ended up heading back to the apartment, absolutely soaked, and the Old Town trip was abandoned.
You'd think that meant I still got to choose the next activity.
Apparently not.
According to the kids, I'd already had my turn because I'd chosen to go to Alcúdia Old Town.
The fact that we never actually got there was completely irrelevant! 🤣
So naturally, we went swimming again.
The following day, I was informed that choosing to go for breakfast also counted as my choice of activity.
I was beginning to realise I'd completely lost control of this holiday. 😂
We didn't even make it to Alcúdia Beach!
I'd hoped we'd get down there on our final full day, but between the unpredictable weather and the kids wanting to spend every possible minute in the swimming pools, it never happened.
Every time we ventured too far away from the resort, the kids seemed to develop a sudden fear of being separated from the pool! 😂

We managed a little wander around the nearby shops, but that was about as far as our sightseeing adventures went.
Considering how many places I normally try to visit on a trip, this was definitely a change of pace.
But the kids were having a brilliant time, and that was the whole point.
Getting Around the Resort
One thing worth mentioning is just how big O7 BE KLUB is.
There are lots of different accommodation blocks and facilities spread around the complex, so getting from one area to another can involve a fair bit of walking.
The hotel does provide a free shuttle service around the resort, which looked convenient, although we didn't use it ourselves.
I prefer walking and getting my steps in, so we just made our own way around. 😂
In the areas we visited, there were lifts and ramps alongside stairs, which was good to see.
However, some of the routes around the complex weren't particularly pedestrian-friendly.
There were places without proper footpaths, meaning you either had to walk along roads shared with cars and coaches or make your way across the grass.
That could be awkward for anyone using a wheelchair, someone with mobility difficulties or families pushing prams.
Combined with the slippery tiles around some of the pools, accessibility is definitely an area where I think the hotel could make improvements.
Cleanliness and Helpful Staff
Although some of the resort buildings look a bit tired, the areas we used were generally clean and maintained.
One thing that surprised me was how nice some of the communal toilets were. Compared with the appearance of the buildings, they looked like they belonged in a much more luxurious resort!
Our apartment was spotless when we arrived, and the staff were helpful whenever we needed anything.
When our room key didn't work because we'd been given the wrong building number, someone walked us to the correct building and helped with our bags.
When I couldn't get the guest Wi-Fi working, a receptionist helped by connecting me to the staff Wi-Fi.
And although the hotel's information said towels were changed every three days, getting fresh ones wasn't a problem. I simply asked at reception.
It's worth mentioning because on a three-night stay, especially with children spending so much time swimming, waiting three days for fresh towels wouldn't have been ideal.
Overall, I found the individual staff members we dealt with friendly and helpful.
The main service problems seemed to come from busy areas not having enough staff, rather than anyone being unwilling to help.
What We Spent
This is one of the biggest positives of the whole holiday.
Our £634.04 package included flights, transfers, 23kg of hold luggage each, three nights' accommodation, food, drinks, snacks and entertainment.
And once we arrived, it really did cover everything we needed.
We didn't have to keep paying for meals, drinks, ice creams or activities around the hotel.
The only things we bought were our obligatory holiday fridge magnets! 🤣

For a family holiday, that makes budgeting so much easier.
I didn't have to think about how much every snack or drink was costing, and with the amount of ice cream the kids managed to get through, that's probably just as well!
Heading Home
After three days of unpredictable weather, Mallorca finally decided to give us some proper sunshine on the day we were leaving.
Typical! 😂
And just to make sure the holiday finished with one last little adventure, our flight home was delayed.
We eventually arrived back in Liverpool two hours and 45 minutes late.
So after spending most of the holiday trying to find some sunshine, we finally got it just as we were leaving, then had to wait even longer to get home.
You couldn't make it up! 🤦♂️
Would I Book Again?
Absolutely.
The hotel certainly isn't perfect.
Some of the buildings are looking tired, the restaurant can get overcrowded, the bar queues can be frustrating, and the slippery tiles around parts of the swimming pools are something I'd really like to see improved.
But there were plenty of positives too.
Our apartment was spacious and spotless when we arrived, the staff were helpful, the food was good, and the kids absolutely loved the swimming pools and evening entertainment.
And here's the thing.
I could've booked somewhere three times the price, and I genuinely don't think the kids would've enjoyed themselves any more than they did here.
The resort had everything they wanted.
Swimming pools, slides, ice cream, snacks and evening entertainment.
The only thing it couldn't guarantee was sunshine for all three days! 😂
Would I have liked to explore more of Alcúdia? Definitely.
We didn't manage to visit the Old Town, and we didn't even make it to the beach.
But this wasn't supposed to be another one of my city-hopping adventures.
For once, it was about letting the kids enjoy the kind of holiday they wanted, and they had an absolutely brilliant time.
Sometimes the best family holiday isn't the most expensive one, or the one where you visit the most places.
It's the one where everyone comes home happy, you've made some brilliant memories and you haven't spent a fortune getting there.
And for £634.04 for all three of us, I think we got excellent value for money.
Forever Travelling verdict: Not a luxury resort, and there's definitely room for improvement, but a great-value family break with plenty to keep the kids entertained.
I'd happily book it again.
Although next time, I might insist on being allowed to choose at least one activity that doesn't involve a swimming pool! 🤣
Prices reflect what we paid for our October 2026 holiday and aren't necessarily representative of future booking prices.
If you're considering O7 BE KLUB, it's worth comparing accommodation-only prices through Booking.com with package holidays through easyJet holidays.
Make sure you're comparing the full cost, including flights, luggage, transfers and meals, rather than just the headline hotel price.
